Bella Klassen is a 20 year old professional dancer originally from Canada, but currently living in California pursuing her dance dreams. She trained with YYC Dance Project / Alberta Ballet in Calgary, AB and Club Dance in Arizona. She is a past “Best Dancer” winner in competitive dance in North
America and has worked with some of the best
choreographers in the industry. This past year, Bella has worked on music videos, worked as a choreographer’s assistant, and worked on “Shag with a Twist” in Palm Springs. She has worked in Thailand on the famous “Paris By Night” show and you may have seen her in a commercial or two!
She has assisted choreographers like Brian Friedman, Paul Becker, Michael Dameski and Derek Piquette as well as having worked as an assistant for Mandy Yip of Acrobatic Arts for many years - performing in Australia and working with students in Sydney and the Gold Coast. She has appeared on NBC’s “World of Dance” and in the Netflix show” Julie and The Phantoms” - directed by Kenny Ortega.
Her favorite styles to teach are jazz, jazz funk, lyrical, and contemporary but she is also classically trained, so technique is number one in her teaching. She is also known for teaching a very thorough conditioning class / warm up. Bella’s favourite thing about working with young dancers is showing them that no matter what hard work and a passion for dance can lead you to your dreams. Nothing happens without that!
